Microsoft Power BI has been recognized as one of the leaders for Analytics and Business Intelligence Planform in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for many consecutive years. It lets you connect, transform, analyze, and visualize data very efficiently, which will enable any finance, accounting, tax professionals to perform more powerful data analytics in almost real time.
This is an intermediate level workshop designed specifically to allow you to develop advanced skills to collect data from various sources, transform data, and create measures using Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Excel in more complex scenarios. After completing this hands-on and highly engaging workshop, you will be able to prepare data using advanced query editor, organize and create relationships between data sets, create measures using DAX, import data model from Excel, design, create, and share reports in Power BI.
Drawing from his valuable background in Accounting and Tax, the Trainer will be using Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet or POS data in the examples and hands-on exercises. This will facilitate learning and allow you to directly apply your knowledge learned in the workplace.

Finance, accounting, or tax professionals with some baseline knowledge and fundamental skills in data analytics and would like to be able to perform complicated data transformation, calculation, and visualization in Microsoft Power BI and Excel.
John Kim
John leads the business intelligence service practice of A Tax Advisor Pte Ltd. He provides a variety of solutions (e.g., technology and data strategy, data transformation and integration, process improvement and automation, and data analytics services) and business process outsourcing services to corporate finance and tax departments.
He utilizes over fifteen years of combined experience in corporate financial reporting and analysis, corporate tax compliance and provision, executive financial dashboard management, technology and performance improvement, data modeling and warehousing, and ERP integration to assist corporate finance and tax functions with improving performance and managing business risk using business intelligence.
Before joining A Tax Advisor Pte Ltd, John was part of EY’s Tax Technology and Transformation group (formerly known as Tax Performance Advisory) in Washington, New York City and Singapore.
Prior to joining EY, John was a financial analyst in charge of the development of Business Objects tools, data modeling and warehousing, and executive financial dashboard management for a global manufacturing company in the United States.
