Description
This workshop is intended to facilitate your thought process in the performance of your professional responsibilities, be it risk management, financial management, internal or external audits. It will enable you to get a better understanding of the corporate failures and fraudulent activities that had happened and are happening round the globe.
You will gain a practical understanding as to why there are so many changes in the financial reporting standards, and the clarity projects in the re-writing of all the auditing standards. The workshop also enables us to understand why the regulatory authorities worldwide are implementing more interactive programmes to ensure that everyone responsible for the financial reporting of public interested enterprise follows the rules and regulations and standards in a professional manner.
The Trainer will cover the broad principles of the Triangle of Fraud and real-life cases will also be shared throughout the workshop.

Expert Speaker
Yeo Ek Khuan
Qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Young & Co, Australia, Ek Khuan continued his career with Foo Kon Tan Grant Thornton in Singapore, and then with BDO Singapore where he recently retired as a Senior Partner.
Ek Khuan was the Assistant Honorary Treasurer of the Association of Small & Medium Enterprises (ASME), and had represented ASME as a member of the Accounting Standards Council ( ASC ). He was a panel member of the Tax Feed Group of The Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) , and had served on many committees of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Singapore, such as the Auditing Standards Committee and the Structured Practical Audit Training Committee.
Ek Khuan enjoys sharing his expertise and experience with fellow Audit Professionals in seminars and workshops, and has lectured as an Adjunct Faculty in NUS and SIT.
