Anston Cheah
Executive Director, Tax
RSM Tax Consultants (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd

Anston is a licensed tax practitioner under Section 153 of the Income Tax Act 1967 with over 16 years of experience in Malaysian corporate tax compliance and advisory serving a diversified portfolio of clients, both local and international. He has been actively assisting corporate clients and high net worth individuals with tax audits and investigations, tax appeals (including attending to dispute resolutions and Special Commissioners of Income Tax matters) and conducting tax health checks.

Anston has also assisted clients with the implementation of Goods and Services Tax (GST) and advised on GST related matters. With the introduction of the mandatory implementation of e-Invoicing, he is working with both local and international corporations on their e-Invoicing implementation projects.

He is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM).

Richard Ong

Richard heads the GST Division in RSM SG Tax Pte Ltd (“RSM”). He has more than 25 years of experience in GST with the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS), Deloitte & Touche LLP, United Test and Assembly Center Ltd (UTAC) and RSM. His diverse background and work exposure with the tax authority, professional and commercial firms allow him to share with seminar participants a balanced view and approach towards GST risk management and compliance.

Richard has spoken at public seminars in Singapore and Malaysia on topics such as Understanding Goods & Services Tax, Managing GST Risks, GST for SME, the GST Assisted Self-help Kit (ASK) and Malaysia GST. He is also an Accredited Tax Advisor (GST) with the Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals Limited.
